Where are they now?
An update on the eight, in their own words
Gus Van Go: "Well, Bix and I decided to start a new band on the drive home from the Morgentaler break-up meeting. So the answer to the question is, I've been doing the same thing, only in the band Smitty's and in NYC. Living la vida loca, becoming a Brooklyn bum, playing my music in cool clubs. In short, starting a whole new life for myself away from my hometown."
Kim Bingham: "I shacked up with a hippie out on the west coast and started a rock band called Mudgirl. Alas, Mudgirl has gone back from whence she came, making me personally responsible to carry the torch of rock as Kim Bingham."
John Jordan: "I'm trying as hard as I can to acheive my dream of becoming an evil genius anti-technology terrorist with an army of beautiful lesbian assassins and a cat who all go down in history for dismantling the Internet."
Adam "Bix" Berger: "I moved to New York to start my new band Smitty's. I'm writing as many songs as I can and slowly becoming a minor rock star on the Lower East Side. Also, I'm running the New York City Marathon and searching for Bobby De Niro."
Kasia Hering (accordion): "Completed a B.Sc.(Agr.), taught English as a Second Language for 2 months in Taipei, Taiwan. Moved to Guelph, studied one year of Wildlife Biology. Accepted into Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College, Class of 2003. Picked up the accordion after 6 years of not playing to perform at the Montreal Jazz Fest (What the...?)"
Sid Zanforlin: "Went to Chile to rediscover my roots. Came back, and went to film school. Played with Juanita, Jerry Jerry and Jérôme Minière. Fell in love, moved in together, our house burnt down, we moved to Vancouver so I could become a director of photography. Working as a cameraman and playing with ex-Ginger guitarist in a band we haven't named yet."
Matt Lipscombe: "Why, I'm in Los Troubadores, of course! We have died so many times! We are sometimes mystical and sometimes biblical. We play outside and so far nobody has complained."
John Britton (percussion): "I switched from percussion to drums, was involved with P.E.Z., then Marlowe, then the early stages of Gazelle and I'm now playing with an ensemble called the Orange Project, a pop band with a lot of groove. Other than music, I started doing volunteer work with the Big Brother Organization. I worked with a division called Blackstar which I found extremely rewarding."
