DAMN RIGHT: Rape of the Valkyries

As the Pentagon takes baby steps toward moving women in the military closer to the cannon-fodder role enjoyed by their male counter-parts, Fox News’s Liz Trotta feels there’s a bigger issue to be addressed—in particular those rapscallion uniformed men and their growing taste for rape. Trotta expressed her concerns that the role of the U.S. military was being sidelined by the money-wasting attempt to stop violent sex crimes. Instead, she suggested, women who enlist ought to “expect it.”
Referring to a report that found incidents of enlisted women being sexually assaulted up a disconcerting 64 per cent, Trotta complained that “the whole airing of the issue” was inexcusably the fault of “pressure from the feminists,” and was coming at great expense to the American taxpayer.
“They have sexual counselors all over the place,” Trotta complained, “to support women in the military who are now being raped too much.”
The U.S. Army report Trotta used as catalyst for her stupidity stated 3,191 reported military rapes in 2011, but Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said the number is likely closer 19,000 since sexual assault often goes unreported.
