Local ska-punk band the Brixton Robbers invite you to party with them at their favourite bar. Rock ’n’ rollers Broad Cats open the show. 9 p.m., $10.

Forget the champagne and glitzy clubs as local punkers the Dryheaves join Misfits cover band Bloodfeast for a night of heavy debauchery. 9 p.m., $8.

Local band Syncop describe their sound as a mix of “Rai Chaoui, reggae, chaabi, raga and hip hop.” They’ll liven things up with some traditional Quebec songs thrown into the mix. DJ Kyou follows the performance with the first Bobards hippie dance party of 2012. 9 p.m., $15/$20.

Enjoy some live jams with your pint of raspberry beer, courtesy of Tommy Youngsteen & the Million Dollar Band, and a free bubbly toast at midnight. 9 p.m., $10.

If it’s pure entertainment you’re looking for, the hilarious drag queen extraordinaire Mado will provide it. The show also features other local royalty, such as Nana, Dream, Marla Deer, Rita Baga, Celinda, Gisele Lullaby, Tracy Trash and more. 9 p.m., $20/$25.

Local punk rock veterans the Ripcordz combine forces with fellow troublemakers Tailgunner, Whiskey Shits, T.O.A. and Irish Nails on the first floor (8 p.m., $10), while a party with an open bar takes place downstairs (10 p.m., $30, $40 with access to the show).

The Vivienne Deane Quartet plays for the last time in 2011 at this cool jazz den. 8:30 p.m.

Release your inner gypsy and spice things up with some Balkan beats as 11-piece band Roma Carnivale warms up Divan Orange with their Tsigani-inspired tunes. Experts of the Balkan party scene, DJs Touski and Eliazar, keep you moving afterwards with “beast gypsy gems.” Revellers will also enjoy a free glass of sparkling wine and an authentic Balkan buffet. 9 p.m., $40.

CHOM 97.7 and Dungeon Works Productions invite you to enjoy some hard rock with your fries, offering performances by Slaves on Dope, Dissension and Corvus Rex. Quebec superstar Michel Pagliaro stops by the beautiful theatre, where the New Year will be feted with a tribute to the Beatles. Bonus: champagne at midnight and snacks all night. 9 p.m., $100.

Six-time winner of the Quebec Lys Blues Award for Best Female Artist, Dawn Tyler Watson takes to the stage for a jazzy year-end celebration. 8 p.m., $135, includes a three-course meal.

NDGers can expect business as usual with special champagne at midnight and a live performance courtesy of Québécois band Swerve, 10 p.m. free. The downtown pub participates in a pub crawl with the Burgundy Lion and McLean’s. The $45 ticket will get you a meal and pint at the Burgundy, a pint and a shot at McLean’s, as well as at Ye Olde, where Sam Murphy will be providing live music. The crawl starts at 7 p.m. at the Burgundy Lion. On Prince Arthur, Skinny plays some ska-infused reggae, and free champagne and party favours are handed out at midnight. 10 p.m., free.
