For a 70-year-old Moroccan man from the southern town of Ait Ourir, the situation called for an act of protest. The act he decided would work best was the cutting off of his own penis.

According to sources at the Ibn Toufail hospital in Marrakesh, the unnamed senior was brought to them shortly after having committed his act of coital disobedience. He told doctors that his wife had been turning him away a long time, and the severing of his advanced-age manhood was his way of showing her what was what.

Doctors were unable to re-attach the organ because, as one on-duty physician told Reuters, “He didn’t bring his penis with him. He left the hospital well, but without his penis.”

But, really, how well is that?
