Miller time

Of all the people it could happen to, the Miller Brewing Company must be least pleased that it was Hollister, Missouri, municipal court judge Randy Anglen. Anglen had just finished downing an end-of-workday Miller Lite when he discovered the corpse of a mouse curled up at the bottom of his bottle.

By his own account, Anglen all but soiled his pants. "I screamed in revulsion," Anglen said. "Then I dropped to the ground holding my head in my hands while I was still screaming."

Anglen contacted Miller's Milwaukee headquarters, who asked him to send them the bottle and corpse. "The first thing I said was, ‘I'm an attorney, and that's the evidence,'" Anglen recalled. Miller finally hooked him up with the Bowling Green, Ohio, State University Department of Biological Sciences, who confirmed the existence of Anglen's mouse.

Though no money has been discussed, Anglen is hoping Miller offers him a bit of cash for his trauma.
