Man bites dog

Carny folk

Sadly, when the travelling carny pulled into Vaudreuil last weekend, there wasn't a freak in sight. Vaudreuil local Chris Michaud got himself an uncommon eyeful nonetheless.

Michaud had brought his 11-year-old son to the carny for an evening of bonding. He'd also brought along his digital camera to capture the lad's joy. As his son enjoyed one of the rides, Michaud started filming. Then he felt something hit his face - something Michaud later described as "a well-brought-up, carefully aimed fucking loogey."

Michaud turned to his video footage to find who the assailant might be. Watching his three-inch LCD screen, Michaud saw the face-painting clown, who was also on the ride, come into view, turn his head and spit on him.

When the ride stopped Michaud hauled the clown from his seat and dragged him over to the guy controlling the ride, who went to get a manager. When the manager arrived, the clown denied any spit-play. Michaud showed the video. The clown was fired.
