One wouldn't expect a nine-year-old girl who goes to a school for children with special needs to be all that bad-ass - especially one who's already been handcuffed and put into the back of a police car. It's due to that lack of evidential bad-assedness that Pima County, Arizona, police chief Sixto Molina has requested an investigation into an officer's decision to use his Taser on such a girl. Though the name of the officer and specific details have not been released, what is known is that two officers responded to a call about a nine-year-old runaway from the Arizona Children's Home. The runaway was in police custody, handcuffed and in the back of a squad car when a veteran officer gave her a burst of lookee-here. "I'll be the first to admit, you've got a veteran sergeant Tasing a nine-year-old girl, it doesn't look good," Molina said. The officer has not been removed from duty. » Scott Saxon |
