It takes a special kind of pig to bring torment to the life of a punk-rock girl with a pit bull. One is running loose in Scottsdale, Arizona. It started with the flyers.

Stuck on the windshields of cars around a Scottsdale condo complex, the home-made flyer announced that "effective immediatley [sic], your dog will be shot on the spot if you do not pick up his dog shit." The note was signed "the sniper." His gripe also explained in the flyer, "I am sick of looking at dog shit all over this property."

Laura Middleton was among those who called the police when the flyer first appeared. A week later she came home from work to find her pit, Bomber, lying on her bed whimpering, a hole in his left side, later found to be caused by a pellet gun.

Police are investigating the flyers and the shooting. Bomber is recovering nicely.
