Dumb lookin' stuff

Tiny transport: After WW2, the European economy was in shambles and gasoline was in short supply, so automakers began building fuel-efficient but incredibly shoddy, strange-looking, tiny little cars with stupid names like Biscuter, Frisky Family and Goggomobil. Called Bubble Cars, they were generally consigned to use as flowerpots once people could afford larger transportation. But a number of collectors, including Madison, Georgia's Bruce Weiner, restore these fascinating little rattletraps. You can see the Weiner collection of tiny cars at www.microcarmuseum.com.

Eye candy: Sometimes you want to see something that makes you laugh, but doesn't require any kind of thinking at all. And what better way to find that elusive something than with funny-looking album covers. This site has 10, and that's basically all you need. No matter how low you feel, this will make you smile. Especially Devastatin' Dave the Turntable Slave. You're so much cooler than him at www.xs4all.nl/~klr/worstalbumcovers.html.
