Man bites dog

Stumped

If it's low to kick a guy when he's down, Fredericksburg, Virginia resident Rodney Prophitt is lower than low. He did it with the guy's own leg. It began with a heated argument...

Prophitt's neighbour, Michael Clapp, discovered he was missing a bottle of medication. Clapp thought Prophitt took it, and went to confront him. Prophitt responded with violence. He knocked Clapp to the ground, then pulled off Clapp's prosthetic leg and beat him with it a while.

"At some point," a police spokesperson said, "Mr. Clapp was able to retrieve his leg, get back to his apartment and call 911." Prophitt was charged with felonious assault and petty larceny. Clapp was treated for a broken nose and assorted other injuries. According to the Fredericksburg Free-Lance Star, police were unable to say "why Clapp has a prosthetic leg." It's assumed, however, that it has something to do with the absence of his real one.
