M Nice Exploited concert! What's up with a whole downtown street trashed by CRUSTIES who are angry that a bunch of old fat OBSOLETE FASCISTS got stopped at the border? Tight jeans, Docs, Ramones shirts that you can buy at Urban Outfitters and mohawks died in the '70s. Stop listening to the same music your dad listened to. To quote Jello Biafra: punk's not dead, it just deserves to die. [BLEEP!]

M Punks used to be marginals with a political opinion. Then they became political ignorants. Now they're just a bunch of scummy stupid dirty pukes. Punk's not junk, my ass. All they do is beg and squeegee around and get fucked up as soon as they can get the money for it. Do you have to trash the town because your favourite band did not make it through the border? No, you fucking rats! Who will be willing to book a punk show now? [BLEEP!]

M This goes out to all those who rioted because the Exploited concert got cancelled. All of us old-school punks from the '70s and '80s always thought the Exploited were a POSEUR BAND and you guys proved it right. Punk's not dead, yeah, right. [BLEEP!]

M When I watched the riots on TV I've never been so embarrassed to have ever have called myself a punk. What I saw was completely ridiculous. All of these kids who were breaking into and lighting these cars on fire are a bunch of North American Canadian spoiled brats who have no idea what it's like to have seen violence unless it's those fights they started when they were DRUNK. I was completely fucking appalled when I found out that they destroyed, like, 60 fucking cars. Listen, there are people in other fucking countries who are fighting for their very liberation and their very rights and you guys are breaking a bunch of innocent people's cars that these people paid hard earned fucking money for just because a concert was cancelled? Boo fucking hoo! You know what's gonna happen when the rest of the punk rock concerts come to Montreal? There's gonna be cops up our fucking asses!! Every time we look, every time we breathe, there's gonna be a cop there poking us with a night stick saying, "Come with me." So thanks a lot. [BLEEP!]

M To everyone that's complaining about the riot. Is it the cops' fault? Is it the kids' fault? Is it the Medley's fault? No, it's the fucking parents' fault. They should have been taking care of their kids and DISCIPLINING them and actually having interaction with them so the kids don't become retarded in the first place. There's no such thing as a bad kid, there are only BAD PARENTS. [BLEEP!]

M I've been in the music scene since about 1986 and it's been going downhill ever since. There are a lot of reasons why, but maybe the main reason is that everyone I know has been broke for the past 10 years - people just don't have money to go out. And also the music scene has gone downhill because of this EPIDEMIC of DJs and ridiculous dance music that the mass public has bought into. They say you can't fight it, but then again, maybe you can - like those punks. I loved it! It was great. And, see? No one got hurt. They just smashed up stuff, insurance companies are going to pay for everything. And I saw on the news there was this black woman just crossing the street and nobody bothered her, you know. So great, long live chaos! Fuck it. [BLEEP!]

M Greetings, y'all rantin' funkateers. It has come to my attention - actually, I heard it through the Rant Line - that y'all have some genuine concern about the state of the funk scene in this city. Well, hear the news, soul funksters, like a wise man once said: ask and you shall receive. Friday, October 24th at Kola Note we have Angel, Dibondoko, Afrodizz plus DJ Andy Williams. That's right, all of them, all night! Those of you who don't know them, come over with us and shake your booty. Those of you who know them will recognize the groove I'm talking about. This is for you all funk lovers. And I would like to send the invitation to all funk and soul bands out there to contact us if you're interested in participating in our next Groovadelic Funk Soul Boogie night as we intend to make this kind of party a regular thing. Well, it's all up to y'all now. If you really want a funk scene in this town, grab the opportunity. Come on all with us, get up and drive your funky soul. [BLEEP!]

M I was calling to find out if there are any tattoo artists in Montreal who know the JEWISH ALPHABET. As you might well know, it's against the Jewish religion to have tattoos done, but if anybody knows where I can find that, leave a message on the Rant Line™. Peace. [BLEEP!]

M Hey, I just figured out that Brian Mulroney must have fucked himself and then, actually, shat out Ben Mulroney. [BLEEP!]
