Calling all trainspotters and graf hounds! Flow's Train Show opens at Off the Hook on Friday, August 29 from 8 p.m. to midnight, showcasing his collection of photos, railroad memorabilia and hand-painted model trains. Beats will be provided by DJ Skeptik and Kobal.
Do not forget the return of The Goods this Saturday, August 23 at La Sala Rossa, as Toronto's General Eclectic touches down to move the crowd. That's $10. Next Wednesday August 27, the Rub-a-Dub crew at Blizzarts welcomes Philadelphia's Solomonic Sound featuring selectors Rob Paine and Zack Eberz. Residents Don-Ray and Jah-Mikes bring up the rear and round out what will surely be a great night of reggae music, for $6 at the door. Looking ahead to Monday, September 1, we've got the Euphrates album release party going down at la Sala Rossa. A Bend in the River should raise the bar a bit for MCs and producers from around the way, but just so you know what's up, check out Rugged Intellect, Oddeo, Narcicyst, Nofy Fanning, Prophecy, Loe Pesci , Habillis, Crux Mottolo and anyone else who decides to jump on stage that night. Don't forget the big battle for DJ supremacy between D.R. One and Godfather D on Thursday, September 4 at Bar Korova. These guys are putting it all on the line when they go head to head for this wrestling-style night of music. D.R. is to Jumpin' Jim Brunzell, what Godfather D is to Junkyard Dog. Not bad for $5. I guess the Blackalicious show on Thursday, September 11, is a go. We're gonna get the whole nine with Lifesavas, BrassMunk, Specifics and Typecast on the bill. Stay tuned for more info. Butt in the meantime… fathead@videotron.ca |
