Man bites dog

No rest for
the wicked

Bank heists can be tiring. Failed bank heists, though, are utterly exhausting. Kevin Tison knows that. What he doesn’t seem to know is, tired as you might be, never stop to rest outside the bank you’ve just tried to rob.

The 41 year old strolled into a Manatee, Florida, bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The note was signed, "Kevin." The teller chose to give Tison nothing. Tison left, walked across the bank parking lot, crawled behind some bushes and went to sleep.

When police arrived, witnesses assured them the thief had sped off in a van. Once that van was tracked down, its driver told police their suspect was roaming the parking lot as he left. After an hour-long search, Manatee County Sheriff’s Detective Bobby Lewis stumbled over Tison’s slumbering form. Tison was roused and arrested. Up on charges of attempted robbery, Tison is currently in custody awaiting his bond hearing.
