Man bites dog

Pole position

There are two things from which no good could ever come: a bachelor party held the night before one’s wedding and a six-foot free-fall onto a man’s testicles. Justin Scheidt of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has learned these things the hard way and wants money to help him forget.

On the eve of his matrimony, Scheidt and his pals stumbled into the Showgirl III strip club. Scheidt was brought up on stage, told to straddle a pole, and then, his arms pinned by two strippers, he watched as a third climbed the pole and then let go, landing—according to Scheidt’s lawsuit—“squarely on his genitals and causing him excruciating pain.” Scheidt says all the dancers took a turn at it, ignoring his pleas to stop.

Scheidt decided to sue after finding himself too bruised to consummate his marriage. He seeks unspecified damages for “serious and permanent injuries” and “mental and emotional distress.”
