>>> July 18, 2002 Have
gun, After a week of shopping for a motor home, a 75-year-old Harrisonville, Missouri, man set his sights on the 2002 Holiday Rambler. Forty-feet long, tinted skylight, six-speaker stereo system, queen-sized bed and colour TV. All he needed was money. So he stopped at a bank one morning and demanded a $200,000 cashier’s cheque. Witnesses say he appeared to have a gun tucked into his waistband. He then took that cheque to his own bank and used it to buy another cashier’s cheque for $166,000-the exact cost of the Rambler. Next, he picked up his girlfriend and hit the RV dealership. The two haven’t been seen since. The
FBI are asking people to be on the lookout for a tan RV with temporary
tags. An FBI spokesman described the suspect as “a white male,
with an ‘I-can’t-believe-I-got-away-with-this!’ expression
on his face.” : |
