What to do when three police officers go out on the town and one ends up getting raped by the others? In St. Petersburg, Florida, the answer seems to be to fire her.

Officers Brie Bicknell, Chris Leconte and Luis Rivera-Rivera spent an evening drinking at a local bar. Too soused to drive, Bicknell caught a ride with the guys. A stop was made at Leconte’s apartment, where he picked up condoms and some porn flicks, then they all went to Rivera-Rivera’s crib. The following morning, Bicknell went to the hospital saying she’d been raped. Because of her inability to resist the night prior, she believed she’d been drugged.

An internal investigation found the men committed no crime, but did show unbecoming behaviour. Leconte was handed a seven-day suspension, Rivera-Rivera three days. A department psychiatrist found Bicknell displayed poor judgement, and she was fired. According to Chief Chuck Harmon, it was a question of being fit for duty. :
