with According to a recent report by the Pentagon’s Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate, some day evildoers and assorted enemies of the state will be placated by weaponized mind-altering drugs. Exploring the use of psychiatric and anaesthetic drugs to incapacitate ornery bad-guys, the report suggests such “calmatives” be used in any military or civil situation where a party is needed. Under consideration are opiates, antidepressants and benzodiazipines such as Valium. And there’s something for the club kids, too: Special K, Rohypnol and GHB are also being studied, along with meds that cause panic attacks and hallucinations. Methods of delivery include drug-filled rubber bullets, aerosol sprays and dosing a people’s food or water supplies. Being a humane nation, the report recommends users of certain compounds “check for the occasional person who may stop breathing.” Despite clear violations of the 1993 Chemical Weapons
Convention and whatever human rights the U.S. has left, the report concluded
the plan is “achievable and desirable.” : |
