Snip and tuck

It was something needed, according to 41-year-old Web designer Ian Tresman. The man was getting set to have himself rendered sterile, but all the information he found was too ‘medical.’ He wanted to give the world a more ‘regular Joe’ perspective, so he went for his vasectomy and then put the whole thing on the Web.


My-vasectomy.com includes reminiscences, explanations of the surgery and pictures of Tresman’s vasectomy all laid out in a user-friendly environment. With a warning to viewers on the title page, Tresman has graded the pictures, taken during surgery by his wife, on a 1-10 squeamish rating as a courtesy for the weak-stomached.


Faced with the notion of a vasectomy, many men tend to have fears, many of which Tresman learned are unfounded. “Most men are afraid of it because it is an operation that is down there,” says Tresman. “And men are a bit attached to down there.” :
