Art is fun

Balls: Remember those crazy spherical chairs in the testing office in Men in Black? Remember how their curved inner walls proved a comic foil for Will Smith? That was cool furniture.

So naturally, there’s a Web site devoted to these fibreglass design oddities, called ball, bubble and egg chairs. Most of the major varieties are illustrated as well as some of their companions—the infamous bubble dome stereos, spherical speakers and round, hanging televisions. There’s even links to places that can outfit your austere, minimalist bachelor pad with the ball chair of your choice.

Have a ball at www.sixdifferentways.com/becg.htm.

Intellivision: For you artsies out there, Jam: London-Tokyo is going to eat up your whole afternoon. A Shockwave art toy with graphics straight out of the Atari era, it’s an interactive exhibition of dozens of Japan/U.K. artists working in media ranging from music to photography to fashion and animation. Get up and dance at www.onlinejam.co.uk. :
