Couldn’t find a noose?

A two-year custody battle ended with a bang in Montgomery, Alabama, with a nine-judge Supreme Court ruling that three teenagers should remain with their father because their mother’s lesbianism made her unfit. Of course, in his ruling Chief Justice Roy Moore dressed his decision up a bit, calling homosexuality “abhorrent, immoral, detestable,” and “a violation of the laws of nature.”

Known around the state as the “Ten Commandments Judge” due to his fight to have a monument of the commandments erected in his courtroom, Moore wrote that the woman’s lifestyle was “an inherent evil” for which there can be no tolerance. The ruling also quoted from the Bible.
A co-ordinator for Alabama’s Gay and Lesbian Alliance, David White, commented that it’s “unfortunate” that the state be “embarrassed once again by a religious fanatic in a position of power. It’s obvious he cannot judge a gay person fairly,” said White. “He should be removed from office.” :
