A far cry from staying after class to bang chalk dust off the erasers, one Warminster, Pennsylvania high school has come up with a new way to give students a boost to their grades—and it involves a field trip as well! The Archbishop Wood High School, a Roman Catholic institution, offered extra credit to students who agreed to picket outside a local abortion clinic.
The suburb’s Planned Parenting clinic was visited by a group of 50 students last Thursday as part of their morality class. In an ironic display of fallibility, the clinic does not perform abortions on Thursdays, leaving the gung-holy group to parade their intolerance for people seeking plain old medical attention.


Though it may seem like the school was rewarding students for the washing of their brains, June Little, a religious teacher, explained the extra credit was traded simply for “giving of their time.” :
