The guy’s got guts

Simon Bossé, one of Montreal’s better comic artists, has detoured into silkscreen printing, publishing and exhibit curation the last few years—to the detriment of his own comic-strip output. At long last, he’s back in the game with Intestine, his first solo publication, light on text but heavy on eye candy and slapstick angst.
It’s put out by local operation l’Oie de Cravan, who celebrate a decade in the comix-for-smart-people game next Thursday,
Feb. 21, 7:30 p.m., at la Sala Rossa (4848 St-Laurent, admission is free). Julie Doucet’s Melek and Jeff Ladouceur’s Ébola are also being launched, and music comes c/o Urbain Desbois, Frank Martel and members of Black Ox Orkestra. :
