Stuff that sucks

Spamfighter: When most people get spam—annoying, unsolicited advertising e-mail—they just hit delete. But when Montrealer Neil Schwartzman gets assaulted by the junk mail of the electrosphere, he takes them on. Spam Flames is a showcase for the ongoing dialogue between Schwartzman and the various spammers he’s taken to task, including Clark.net, “computer consultant” Bernard Shifman, and even the daddy of ’em all, AOL.

Schwartzman’s ongoing war with the mysterious Shifman reads like a Platonic dialogue, but funny. Shifman is like North Korea, alternatively barking threats and making bizarre claims.

Suckmaster: Some industries have vocal opponents. Privately run prisons, animal-testing labs, oil refineries and vacuum cleaner manufacturers. VACMAN sucks up the myths around vacuums and leaves the real dirt on how you’re being taken advantage of. Apparently it’s an industry full of lies, but don’t take my word for it, you can phone VACMAN toll-free at the office. Learn what sucks at www.vacman.com. :
