quarterly La Voce del Popolo is kind of a house organ for the Casa del
Popolo, but it’s also a neat little entity unto itself, chock-a-block
with comics, art, criticism, recipes and various other curiosities.
The second issue gets the royal launch treatment this Saturday, Jan.
12, with an evening of what Voce publisher Kiva Stimac describes as
“All funk, all night.” Performers include Nutsack, DJ Andy
Williams and DJ dxtr x; festivities include a raffle wherein lucky winners
will be treated to a luxe breakfast at the Ritz-Carlton with Stimac
or her Casa co-proprietor Mauro Pezzente. At La Sala Rossa (4848 St-Laurent),
