A very Middle Kingdom blessing: A member of the Beijing Opera performs at the opening of Chinatown's newly renovated Place Sun Yat-sen at Clark and de la Gauchetière last Saturday. Over 400 guests, including the mayors of Montreal and Beijing, attended, while hundreds of others--including a few Falun Gong members--looked on.
