Featuring song, dance and traditional native delicacies, the annual Montreal Pow Wow goes down this weekend on Bonsecours Island in Old Montreal. Storytelling, workshops and craft tables will also be part of the festivities. All this carries on to the constant beat of traditional drums and accompanying dances. The event is sponsored by Cree The Nation and Mohawk The Eastern Door newspapers, with funds raised going to the K-Stars, a Mohawk theatre group, and the Native Women's shelter.
