The outsiders
They call it "outsider art," the English translation of the term "art brut" coined by French painter Jean Dubuffet. And Pack Animals and Rubber Tramps, the exhibit of works by Toronto painters Scott Griffin and Casey McGlynn, is a fine example of it. On now at the Galerie Bourbon-Lally, the show features Griffin's welded images of landscapes and strange scenes on found metal and McGlynn's crudely drawn animals. Catch it now before they take their show on the road across North America. At 460 Ste-Catherine W. #502 until June 30. Info: 485-2000.
