The Front

So long Victoria:
Gone are the anglophilic days when Canadians remembered what the first long weekend of the summer is supposed to honour: the birth of Queen Victoria back on May 24, 1837. Hopefully, the current pathetic remains of the queen's once majestic monument in Square Victoria will experience a renaissance, as construction of Montreal's new, ueber-cosmopolitan Quartier international gets under way.
