As the scientists attempt to spread the good word, their gas-guzzling employers have conveniently slashed funding to their research into energy-saving technologies and measures, thus publicly ignoring their own agency's advice.

Insect >> ESBM library cuts Forget about crying over cuts to extracurricular sports activities, the English Montreal School Board's latest plan to save money is to promote illiteracy in Montreal schools. Rather than trying to address their financial distress by cutting fat-cat expenditures, the school board has voted to slash $1-million from the library and support-staff budget. Students, already faced with extremely limited library access, will find they have even less opportunity to bury their heads in a good book, as whatever library staff still standing will have to spread their time more thinly across the city.
