This bug's life
By Genevieve Paiement
Disturbingly human insects wander around a post-apocalyptic planet, a boy becomes half-moose and viruses dance a jig--welcome to Diane Obomsawin's world. The Montreal-based sculptor, graphic designer, illustrator and videomaker's animated shorts make up an exhibit at Oboro entitled Obom. In these works (none of which are longer than five minutes), Obomsawin mixes the surreal with the simplistic, the childishly daft with the gloomy. Meet her charming, crudely drawn creatures at 4001 Berri, #301, until March 25. Info: 844-3250.
