Sweet Emotion
By Mark Slutsky
Those interested in larfin' and lovin' might want to check out Prognosis: Love, a Valentine's-Day-themed cabaret going down this weekend at the MAI. The show's being put on by the November Company, the fledgling theatre troupe responsible for last year's critically well-received The Qualities of Zero.
There will be comedic sketches, live music and, importantly, cheap beer, all to raise funds for their production of Zero author Jacob Richmond's latest play, The Cockroach Chronicles. Electronic jazz/funk outfit Kobayashi will entertain revellers after the show. At 3680 Jeanne-Mance, Feb. 9-10, 9 p.m., $5 for students, $10 for grown-ups.
