If you're dying to skip town, there's still time to catch some dance at the Festival des arts de St-Sauveur this week. Tonight, Aug. 3, there's the choreographic competition and Musical Composition for Dance where composers and choreographers share the stage and are judged, with finalists scoring a residency program for the next year.

And Saturday, Aug. 5, New York City ballet company DanceGalaxy makes a Quebec premiere and closes the festival. Among the pieces they will be performing are works by George Balanchine, William Forsythe and Ginger Thatcher.
