Not just kidstuff
The Pelican Daughters' Revolt is a provocative new play written by Jeremy Wexler in collaboration with the children of the Kids' Project, a theatre workshop for kids aged 9-13 who have been exposed to conjugal violence. Wexler used some of the themes and ideas that emerged from the kids' improv sessions and cast seven of the group's children in principle roles. July 27, 7:30 p.m. and July 28, 2 p.m. at the Leanor and Alvin Segal Theatre of the Saidye Bronfman Centre (5170 Cote-Ste-Catherine). Free. :
