Jon Asencio, part of the Social planning committee, says "it's kind of in the spirit of the old poetry slams, but more ridiculous, with more performance art and less talking." On the menu at this I'm Okay, You're Okay happening are performances by Johnny Cheesecake and his Special System, The Trish Kelly Experience, J. Robot Mind Control Inc. and Les Cravatistes. Intellectually invigorating visuals will come courtesy of f(lyte) and a Self-Help Art Auction will also take place. "Motivational musical moments" will be provided by Dick Goodbody and his Internal Self-Improvement Method, The Junior Anti-Sex League and Our Glorious Leader. Sunday, July 30, 9 p.m. at Blizzarts (3956A St-Laurent). Admission is pay what you will--just please bring your willingness to change. :
