Post Jazz Fest art

Are your feet still moving you down to Place des Arts looking for that swing? Well, there are still a few jazz musicians left in the area, mainly at Galerie Mistral. Black and white portraits of Thelonius, Cherry, Mingus, Coltrane and more by Guy Le Querrec are on view in Jazz from J to Z until July 22. The Mistral is also presenting, from its own collection, a smattering of work from 1868 to the present. The show includes black and white prints by Michel Campeau and Gabor Szilasi, alongside colours deeper than imaginable in "Girl, Green Tomb and Volcano" by Jeffrey Becon. At 372 Ste-Catherine W., #424. : --Eve MacLauren
