Bookworms attack!

In the tradition of the booksellers along the banks of the Seine in Paris, Montreal's Bouquinistes du Saint-Laurent have set up their wares in the Old Port, along the Saint Lawrence. Besides rare and antique books in more than a dozen languages, a flower market and sculpture exhibit spice up the site. Nightly dinner shows ($12-15, including wine), children's storytelling, jazz concerts and poetry readings are all on the menu. The Bouquinistes' 50 kiosks are here until July 16, when they take their project on the road to Quebec City and Magog. For more info call 273-6532 or check out www.lesbouquinistes.org. :
