Fringe differences

I just read Sarah Edmonson's review of Being Terence Bowman [in "Mammaries, Delusions and a package of coke," June 15] and I think this is a case of the critic being out of sync with the audience. I saw a sold out performance of the show and it rocked the house. Everybody laughed throughout.

But I'm not going to take issue with that because Ms. Edmonson did account for the fact that other people enjoyed the show, even if she didn't. No, my biggest problem with the review (aside from the fact that you both got the title wrong and misspelled it) was the "stand-up" comment that was quoted.

There was no part of that show that could be described as "stand-up" comedy. Anybody who thought so obviously needs to spend more time in a comedy club.

Desperately seeking Patti

Where's Patti? How can you not include the most anticipated show of the decade (at least for me and many others) in your Hot Summer Guide? Patti Smith is only playing the second Canadian date ever of her tremendous musical career!

Shame on you and hope to see you there.

Correction/B>

In the Hot Summer Guide to dance ["Blazing bodies in perpetual motion," June 15], the choreographer of No Strings Attached was wrongly identified. The work is actually by American Mia Michaels.
