The Festival de la litterature mondiale presents a world-wide selection of over 100 writers, comedians, dancers, and artists from around the world who will be reading and performing in Montreal and other regions of Quebec from May 12-20. At "La Valse des adieux de Louis Aragon," actor Jean-Louis Trintignant will read and perform a text by French writer Aragon, with music by Daniel Mille. May 17, 8:30 p.m., at the Lion d'Or, $52. Anne-Marie Alonzo, Christiane Duchesne and Abla Farhoud have combined their writing with dance in "Oser le corps." At l'Agora de la Danse, May 15-16, $10. There will also be readings by different writers every night at St-Sulpice, with jazz by Pierre St-Jak and Normand Guilbeault at "Les 5 à souhaits." Jake Brown is putting on a show in combination with his French counterpart, Kerozen, creating "Yawp!/Kerozen." This bilingual show of spoken word, music, and film will feature Iz Cox, Khan Gourou, les Abdigradationnistes and myself. Music will come courtesy of DJ Mutante, Trip the Off, Dr. Placebo and Andrew Sweeney. May 13, 9 p.m., $10, at the Cabaret, 2111 St-Laurent. : --
