The vigorous Montreal cell of the "Anarcho-Pastrymakers International" has scored hits on Jacques Parizeau, William Johnson and federal Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Stephane Dion. An uptight Dion testified in court last Friday against Patrick "Pop Tart" Robert and Benoit Foisy, charged with assault at Dion's insistence after he was pied last May. Let's hope the judge puts another pie in his face by letting the pranksters off the hook.

Insect >> Montreal-based phone scammers A recent telemarketing scam, bilking gullible seniors in Texas and Missouri, had victims send thousands of dollars to someone claiming to be from the Ontario or Alberta Attorney General's office, as a fee to get back cash lost in a previous scam. It is suspected to be a Montreal operation, where, according to the RCMP, 80 per cent of Canada's telemarketing scams originate.
