Impressive wingspan
A woman in costume warms herself by the candles at the vigil outside the UN Conference on Biosafety last Friday night, organized by Greenpeace and Biotech Action Montreal (BAM). The monarch butterfly outfit was symbolic: studies have shown that monarch populations are adversely affected by pollen of genetically modified corn. Over 100 people turned out for the vigil.
