The Front

Lenard Clark (middle), flanked by best friend Phillip Rawlins (right) and local rapper Spark, gets ready for a game of Laser Quest last Saturday evening. The 1997 beating of 15-year-old Clark by three white men in his Chicago neighbourhood put him in a coma for 29 days. His weekend visit to Montreal doubled as a publicity tour for local rap label 4 In Da Morning Recordings, which produced an album in his benefit.
