Hands up: An organizer of last weekend's march against poverty delivers hundreds of hands in a box labeled "misery." The styrofoam hands were later distributed by children to demonstrators, who held them up instead of placards to symbolize a global cry for help. The event, organized in conjunction with the Global Day for the Elimination of Poverty, was a rousing success: over 200 community groups helped organize, and over 1,000 people participated in the march.
