Author John Ralston Saul came to town Tuesday and gave a gentle but thorough tongue-lashing to a room full of PR flacks at the annual conference of the Canadian Public Relations Society. Speaking on the topic of "reputation management," Saul said that "a reputation is not something you manage, it's something you live. A reputation is something you risk in defence of an idea." Perhaps unaware that they had just been chastised, the crowd responded with a thorough ovation. Saul is shown here in sheepish acknowledgment. Photo by Gunther Gamper >>>
