Courtney Love, in sunglasses, leaves Nick Auf der Maur's funeral with Hole bandmates Eric Erlandson and Patty Schemel. Word has it Love was fond of Hole bass player Melissa Auf der Maur's dad. Also present at the funeral, ironically, was Montreal journalist Max Wallace, who recently co-authored a book calling for a new investigation into Love's role in the death of husband Kurt Cobain. Wallace says he came face-to-face with Love, made eye contact, and quelled a desperate urge to introduce himself. "If it had been any other occasion I would have made her acquaintance," he told the Mirror, though he acknowledged the gesture may well have earned him a swift punch in the nose.
