A total of 50 kilograms of biscuit and cream were transformed into a slightly larger-than-life baked Vlady, adorned with 220 cream roses, to celebrate Russia's status as a haven for fast food and The GAP. First it was the Big Mac, now it's the Lenin loaf. Lead a revolution and this is the thanks you get? Apparently, even communism itself can be made yummy enough to suit consumer appetites.

Insect >> Novopharm, one of Canada's leading generic drug companies An insidious game is often played in the business of prescription drugs. Drug manufacturers don't make money unless doctors prescribe and pharmacists stock their drugs. So Novopharm offered pharmacists 10, 20 and even 100 per cent rebates on its products--not to mention cheques for "continuing education" and free trips--in exchange for an unspoken quid pro quo: pharmacists, in exchange, would buy more of their products. Meanwhile, consumers--and taxpayers, through Quebec's health plan--continued to pay full price. Now, Novopharm appears to have been caught in the act. Quebec's health insurance board has launched a $10-million suit against the company for their practices.
