Mourners pause at the memorial plaque in Parc de l'espoir in the heart of Montreal's gay village to remember friends, relatives and others whose lives have been affected by AIDS. As part of World AIDS Day last Monday, a group of 30 people held a commemorative mass at Club Mississippi before moving on to the park, where they planted a tree to mark the occasion. See item on this page for more info on AIDS in Canada and around the world. Photo By Gunther Gamper >>>
