Media speak outThe Montreal chapter of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association, launched last December, now has a membership of more than 40. Despite increased interest in the group, organizers say they'd like to have greater input from the lesbian community. This weekend the NLGJA will hold its second panel discussion, titled Invisible Nation: Covering Lesbian Issues in the Media. The Mirror's Julianne Pidduck, Gazelle editor Claudine Metcalfe and Village writer Johanne Cadorette will sit on the panel. Discussion will begin at 1 p.m. this Sunday, April 27 at Usine C (1901 Visitation). Refreshments will be served. $5 suggested donation. Matthew Hays |
