LEAVING LAS
EVERYTHING

Nic knacks: Nicolas Cage has played a lot of roles as an actor—tough-guy cops, tough-guy doctors and tough-guy suicidal Hollywood agents in search of redemption in Las Vegas. But what if he played Larry King, Eazy-E, Ferris Bueller or Mrs. Doubtfire? In fact, what if Nic Cage played virtually every person, fictitious or real, who could conceivably grace the motion picture screen? Through the magic of Photoshop, a blog called Nic Cage As Everyone answers that question, including a truly discomforting Nic-as-Spongebob that no one should ever see at niccageaseveryone.blogspot.com.

Channel conflict: Generally those montage TV intro things are representative of the actual show. That’s why courtroom dramas about serious lawyers get dramatic guitars and percussion with moody lighting, and comedies about wacky dorm antics get a ska horn section and neon t-shirts. But what if you mashed up, say, Star Wars with the theme from Dallas? It just got sexier and more status oriented. And Diff’rent Strokes meets creepy slasher movie music? Two words: Child molester. Tune in at bit.ly/51OLpX.
