On your bikes: Planning your next bike ride just got more exacting and time-consuming thanks to pedalMONTREAL, a Google Maps mash-up that plots all of Montreal’s official bike paths, both those that are isolated from traffic and those that are not, as well as streets designated for bicycling, and matches them up with all of the Bixi stations. Think of it as a human-powered alternative metro system without the turnstiles and panhandlers at pedalmontreal.ca.

Aww cute: Everybody loves cute babies.
