This routine begins with Divan Orange tonight, Sept. 24, where We Blast Out presents a night of festivities featuring Payz Play followed by Seba of Gatineau and Wizestar to close it up. Good vibes and solid tunes guaranteed. Friday night is on and on at Blizzarts with the ever-so-chill weekly the Bridge, featuring brothers from another mother DJ Lexis and DJ SevDee, and a special appearance by le Ultimate Homie Simahlak, who will partake in this Hip Hop History: Part Cinq edition. Very curious to see what’s in store...

And while we’re touching upon Lexis (pause), y’all should definitely peep his regular podcasts and music news at musicismysanctuary.com, a good place to be if you’re looking for music to clean out the crib to (or various other activities). Saturday, it’s gotta be the Goods at la Sala Rossa with resident Director of Sound Scott C and Goods favourite Huggs, who you can count on to tear it down. Also Friday, at Koi Bar, we got DJ Lord, the battle DJ turned member of Public Enemy, controlling the decks with the French Connection DJs. Petit Campus is hosting MTL Urban Grooves, a live hip hop showcase and double album launch featuring Typecast and Preach Ankobia, who will be unveiling their newest works, accompanied by Sikh Knowledge and DJ Sarcastic.

Sunday night, it’s beer in hand at Blue Dog with a soundtrack provided by Skratch Bastid, and we’ll close off the week with the final Sud-West session of 2009 on Tuesday with your favourite franco-anglo mid-week selectors Poirier and Ghostbeard at Terrasse St. Ambroise.
